During a period of unfortunate employment I wanted to keep improving my skillset. I was doing some freelance, but then found VolunteerMatch.org. I was able to search for local organizations looking for help and found MindsEye Information Services, an organization that provides spoken word resources for the sight impaired. I worked with them for several years designing posters and programs and whatever collateral they needed for their various events. It was good experience developing projects for real world scenarios. I got to flex my creative muscles within he parameters of the various projects.
